The efficient handling and storing of materials is incredibly important every industry. Moving essential materials properly and safely keeps business running, ensures products get where they need to go, and keeps the materials, and more importantly the workers, safe and protected.

In this training course we will talk about some of the workplace hazards that employees might encounter while performing materials handling tasks on the job. We will also discuss the safe work practices used to avoid accidents and injuries while performing these tasks.
Course overview
This training module is intended for all employees working in industries that require materials handling activities. Workers who regularly move, handle, or store materials, whether manually or with the use of automated equipment, are especially vulnerable to certain workplace hazards and require proper training.

OSHA’s standard relating to materials handling and storage is 29 CFR 1910.176.

Course Objectives
