Course Description
Millions of workers are required to wear respirators in various workplaces throughout the United States. Respirators protect workers against a long list of health hazards than cause cancer, lung impairment, diseases, or even death.

In this training course we will talk about some of the workplace hazards that can negatively affect humans’ respiratory systems. As well as the ways that workers can protect themselves from these hazards on the job site. We will also discuss programs that employers can implement that will ensure the safety of all of their employees.
Course overview
This online Respiratory Protection Training course is designed to equip workers and supervisors with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves from airborne contaminants in the workplace.

The regulations for this course come from Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, specifically 29 CFR 1910.134. At the end of this course, participants will understand regulatory requirements and best practices for respiratory protection.

Course Objectives

With proper protection and awareness, most respiratory-related injuries or illnesses can be prevented. Workers who are adequately informed will be able to better protect themselves from these injuries when working near respiratory health hazards.

Know what type of respirator to wear in a given situation.

Follow Your Respiratory Protection Program

Follow your job-specific Respiratory Protection Program and react accordingly in an emergency situation.
